At East Carnarvon Primary School our mission is:

To provide quality education in a caring environment, so that each child maintains a positive attitude to learning, and achieves their full academic, physical, social and emotional potential.

The school has a process in place to evaluate the previous year's education and organisational data to develop strategic plans in identified areas prioritised for the following year.

This plan is presented to the School Decision Making Group for approval and then submitted to the District Director. A copy of this plan is given to each staff member and the Parents and Citizens group.

To assist in achieving our goals the school has access to Early Literacy & Numeracy, Priority Country Areas and Commonwealth Literacy Funding.

More specialist teaching areas are available in Instrumental Music and other areas across the curriculum. Home contact is made where students are having difficulty, initially at a class teacher level and then, in necessary, at an Administration level.
