Australia Private Schools introduces Elizabeth South Primary School in Elizabeth South, for all your education and learning needs.
Elizabeth South Primary School was the first school established in Elizabeth. The current enrolment is 220, with eight mainstream classes and two special classes. Students moving to and from the school is mainly due to many families experiencing the effects of long-term disadvantage and unemployment.
In 2008 a vision that states 'We are a collaborative learning community in an environment that contributes to learners' resilience, positive relationships, learning skills and high aspirations' was established. Respect, teamwork, diversity and challenge are the school's values. These influence expectations, class practice and decision-making. In 2009 work with other sites on targeted curriculum initiatives included 'Teaching for Effective Learning', 'Big Ideas in Number' and 'Supporting Improved Literacy Achievement'.
Skills and values for social living and the 'Child Protection Curriculum' are an integral aspect of the curriculum and work of staff. The 'Friendly Schools and Families' framework is being implemented. The site improvement plan priorities are literacy, numeracy and pedagogy for engagement with agreement that achievement of targets is the shared responsibility of all.
Welcome to Elizabeth South Primary School one of the popular educators in your Elizabeth South area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
