The Clinical Training and Evaluation Centre (“CTEC”) has been a leader in the provision of superior quality training simulation-based training courses for a range of health professionals, particularly in surgical and medical skills and crisis management. Since inception in 2000, CTEC has trained over 25,000 health professionals from around Australia and the Asia Pacific region.

CTEC is acknowledged as a “hub” of medical simulation knowledge and know-how in Western Australia because of its highly practical approach to medical and surgical skills training.

CTEC is recognised for its holistic approach in the development of training programs, because is it involved in every step of needs analysis and research, course design, delivery and evaluation. This ensures that training programs are effective not only in educational terms, but in practical, ethical and financial measures.

As an integral part of The University of Western Australia’s prestigious School of Surgery, CTEC provides educational leadership and advice in the development of relevant, cost effective and unique skills training programs for the Faculty’s undergraduate and post graduate courses.
